Well, the whole LOLCAT thing is self-consciously dorky, and funny in a “so stupid it’s funny” way. The Hillary ad doesn’t work on that level, because it isn’t a play on some already-existing dorky joke, but simply a lame effort by advertising professionals to seem “ironic” and make their product appeal to “the youth vote”.
