I was saddened to learn that the two men most responsible for promoting my two favorite beverages both died last week. I dedicate my morning mugs to Alfred Peet, and this evening I will hoist a glass (or two) in memory of Michael Jackson.

And after a hard day’s gardening, what could be better than a glass of beer. Though it might be more appropriate to drink this one from a Wittgenstein. Either way, Duck-Rabbit Porter, from Farmville, NC, is our new house beer. But that could change once we’ve tried the Milk Stout.
